Charlie Hoover attended a Called & Gifted Workshop in 2004 and immediately began incorporating discernment and use of gifts into his prayer, work and relationship with Jesus. He has been a Called & Gifted Teacher and Interviewer nationwide since 2007. In addition to his work with the Institute, Charlie sought to promote faithful discipleship in the corporate work environment for many years and until last year he led an information systems department at a large bank. He earned a Certificate in Theology from Creighton University and has experience as a RCIA catechist and lay spiritual director for Christian Experience Weekend retreats, leads bible studies, directs retreats and occasionally offers parish presentations on a variety of faith topics. Charlie left corporate life in 2013 and currently resides and ministers at the Creighton University Retreat Center with his wife, Amy, who is the Director there. He is currently back in school doing graduate work in theology and discerning the Lord's call to a full-time teaching and retreat ministry. He has two children: Allyson recently completed serving in Panama with the Peace Corps and still resides there and Kenneth who recently graduated from the University of Iowa and lives in New York City.
